Valerie Perez created the P.A.W.S benefit to help the unhoused pets in Fire Island (and beyond) that need health care and safe spaces.
The process of caring for these stray cats and dogs requires funds for food, shelter and veterinary visits, so this event was a lifeline for many animals.
Hosted by there legendary Sal Piro, the P.A.W.S events showcased community talent that gave a fabulous show every year to keep the critter crusade funded and able to continue their important work.
We look back at the cause Valerie Perez cared so much about and the array of entertainment that the guest performs brought to every show.

The Cherry Grove Archives Collection is proud of our documentary shorts and feature films that we have produced to preserve and showcase the Grove's history, combining interviews and archival photos/footage to bring these stories to life.


CGAC Productions has been capturing Cherry Grove history in a series of short documentaries, full length feature films, a scripted dramatic short and restored vintage celluloid treasures. Though we have covered many facets of Grove life in the last century, we continue to create films that educate and entertain.


All CGAC productions are created with a budget under $100, as to preserve our resources for operating costs and digitization.
